Introduction

Can you bring big ideas to life? Can you develop the visual identity of a brand? Are you as comfortable in digital spaces as you are in print? If so, you’re just what we’re looking for.

As our Senior Creative Designer, you'll create compelling and memorable campaigns that help us stand out in a busy financial services industry. We’re going up against banks and other building societies, so our creative has to really get people talking. With a strong digital background and a firm understanding of brand strategy, campaigns and content creative, you’ll keep up with trends and make sure we’re effective in every channel.

SBS Creative is at the start of an exciting journey. We want to show that in-house is the place to be. We’re on the lookout fora team of hungry, ambitious creatives who can help us become a digital-first, agile, conscientious internal advertising agency who want to create outstanding work that changes the way building societies do creative. Enough of the same-old-same-old. It’s time to be bold.

And the best part about it? This isn’t an agency where clients are changing, and then taking credit for your work. You’re playing your unique role in shaping the look and feel of Skipton’s marketing and advertising.

Who Are We?

Not just another building society. Not just another job.

We're the fourth biggest building society in the UK and what makes us a bit different is that we're a mutual organisation. We don't have shareholders; we're owned by our members.

Our colleagues say Skipton's a great place to work, and you could be one of them, bringing with you new ideas on how we can keep customers at the heart of what we do.

Whatever your background, and whatever your goals, we'll help you take the next step towards a better future.

You’ll be joining SBS Creative, Skipton Building Society’s in-house creative department. There’s currently 8 of us – from copywriters to email devs to designers and art directors – and we sit as part of the wider Marketing Communications team. We’re not your typical in-house creative department. We want the best of both worlds – the excitement and social buzz of an agency with the control and freedom of in house. Think creative bravery mixed with 4 o’clock finishes.

Skipton Building Society is based in Skipton, North Yorkshire. It’s only a train ride from Leeds, but we’re conscious that as creatives, we want to be close to the Leeds advertising industry scene and so we are exploring ways to make that happen.
