We seek caring, compassionate and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team.
About the Role:
We aim to provide specialised quality care for children and young people, aged 13 – 18yrs, The primary role of our support workers is to make a difference to the lives of the young people residing in our homes. You will work on goals to assist them to live a happy and fulfilled life and one that teaches independence, promoting education and ensuring their health and well-being. We believe in engaging Young People in all aspects and decision in their lives, by working together we enable them to be in control of their future.
You’ll work with a tight-knit team of colleagues to build a relationship and trust bond with the young person living at the home. You’ll be supporting them in overcoming their previous trauma and learning to trust in adults again, along with the help and guidance of your colleagues.
Shift patterns
Shift patterns are flexible and do vary based on the need of the home, our usual shifts can include 8am- 5pm or 8am-11pm. We do require staff to be available and cover sleep in shifts, this is for a maximum of three per week, unless you wish to pick up extra sleeps

• You are able to keep accurate records, carrying out all recording and reporting in a person-centered, factual manner.
• You work safely and ensure contractual and regulatory compliance so our young people can trust, feel safe and have confidence in the support we provide
• Willingness to attend trainings and further your knowledge
• Good communication, good written skills and fluent English
• Positive, with a problem-solving approach to challenging situations
• Reliable, with good time keeping

Desirable
• Experience in working with young people/ social care
• Experience lone working with young people
• A basic knowledge of Ofsted
• Qualification in Childcare ie NVQ
