Job Description

Summary
I am a 20-year-old who has quadriplegic cerebral palsy. I enjoy gaming at home and am a keen supporter of Brighton and Hove football club, I try to go to all their home games.
I am looking for someone to assist me with getting out and about, as well as help me in finding paid employment. I would like support to access a range of activities such as shopping trips, meeting friends in the pub and on occasion taking me to a Brighton and Hove football match.
I use a wheelchair to move around, and I currently need help to access my bedroom and bathroom when in my home environment.
I require a driver who is willing to drive my Motability car for when we go out.

Employee Duties:
• Other relevant duties as required

Additional duties:
• Help with putting away and taking out clothes.
• Getting in and out of the wheelchair ('transferring')
• Physiotherapy exercises
• Driving and accompanying me to social events such as; Football, Cinema and College
• Evening meetings with friends in Pub/Club
• Accompanying and assisting me on shopping trips when required
• Accessing public transport (trains/buses)
• Accompany me when accessing social and leisure activities, including going to football matches.
• Accompanying me to doctors/hospital appointments when required
• The above duties will involve driving my car, lifting the folding wheelchair in/out of car, pushing the wheelchair when out.


Additional requirements
• Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
