Veterinary Surgeon - Aberdeen

• This role would suit a passionate and adaptable veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working with small animals, values teamwork, and possesses a balanced blend of independent expertise and collaborative communication skills.
• Full/Part-time opportunity, a share of a Saturday morning rota, and the added benefit of no OOH.
• Aberdeen boasts excellent transport links, including an international airport and well-connected rail and road networks.

Our client has undergone a recent expansion, and as a result, they are in search of a Full/Part-time Veterinary Surgeon to become part of their team at an independent 2-site practice which treat all domestic pets (including exotics) situated in the charming city of Aberdeen, where historic architecture, a thriving cultural scene, and stunning coastal landscapes come together to create a vibrant and welcoming city.

In both of their branches, they take pride in providing all the essential tools for excellent veterinary care. They boast a wide array of high-quality equipment, including ultrasound, digital x-rays, endoscope, and more.

You will have the privilege of joining a group of nine Veterinary Surgeons who bring a wealth of experience to the practice. They have a team of 6 fully qualified Registered Veterinary nurses and a small team of receptionists and support staff. They take pride in maintaining a high RVN/support staff to vet ratio and are keen to allow their nurses to fulfil their potential and support vets, allowing vets to do what they are trained to do. The team is known for its friendly and sociable nature, both within and outside of work.

Our client is seeking a team player who finds joy in small animal work. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently, yet equally comfortable engaging in case discussions with colleagues. This role primarily involves consulting and performing surgical procedures; however, they are open to adjusting the role to fit the strengths and preferences for the right candidate.
