Purovets are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join the team at an enthusiastic and committed mixed practice Veterinary Hospital with a passion for providing excellent veterinary care in a friendly atmosphere. They are seeking a mixed Veterinary Surgeon to join their team of 13 vets, 27 RVN'S/SVN'S and support staff.
Their long-standing and loyal clients are testament to all the hard work the team put in to make them a favourable vet. They are RCVS-accredited and rated outstanding' in small animal consulting, diagnostics, in-patient care and ECC as part of the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme. They accept referrals from other veterinary practices for advanced surgeries, particularly soft tissue and orthopaedics, giving you a great opportunity to pick up some varied and challenging cases and develop your skills.
You will be working at the main Tier 3 hospital branch; the practice also operates a smaller GP branch just 15 minutes down the road. They have a varied caseload and are very keen to develop their team and support progression. They are shifting to a 4-day week from 8am - 6pm, with on-call and weekends worked on a rota basis to be determined (likely 1 in 6).
You will be working in Penkridge a historic market town in Staffordshire, England. Nestled along the River Penk, it boasts a charming mix of medieval and Georgian architecture. The town centre hosts a market, reflecting its market town heritage. Penkridge is known for its community spirit, historical landmarks, and picturesque surroundings, attracting visitors and locals alike. Penkridge boasts strong transport links with its railway station connecting to major cities like Birmingham and Stafford. The M6 motorway is easily accessible, enhancing road connectivity.
Role:
- Salary up to £60,000 DOE
- 4 day week, 8am - 6pm
- Weekends and on-call on a rota TBD (likely 1 in 6)
