Summary
The Haematology department at UCLH is one of the largest haematology units in Europe with 98 beds across two sites. It is a great place to develop yourself further and participate in cutting-edge treatment options provided to patients under our care.
We would expect you to be an enthusiastic and highly motivated cancer nurse wishing to develop management and leadership skills in a dynamic and genuinely supportive environment. Our wards are nurse-led and are supported by infrastructure including a dedicated nursing central venous access team, nursing chemotherapy team, Advanced Nurse Practitioner team and a nursing education team. Not only does this provide our ward nurses with opportunities to develop quickly, it empowers them to employ evidence based practice in a patient focused-approach to care.
GWB L02 East Ward is a 17-bedded unit where you will have the opportunity to look after patients diagnosed with conditions affecting their blood/bone marrow undergoing various treatments including chemotherapy, CAR-T cell therapy and stem cell transplantation.
