Summary
The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is looking for Sales Assistants on a casual arrangement to work in our flagship shop on Henley Street as well as offering cover at other Shakespeare Birthplace Trust sites.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to help make a visit to Shakespeare’s Birthplace a memorable one. If you enjoy selling and would like to meet thousands of different people from all over the world united by their love of Shakespeare’s life, work, and legacy then we may have just the job for you.
Day-to-day tasks will involve serving customers, dealing with retail deliveries, merchandising of displays, adding value to customers’ purchases and experiences, and advising prospective visitors of the Trust’s offer.
The Shakespeare Birthplace Shop is open seven days a week, and you will be required to work weekdays, weekends, and a fair share of Bank Holidays so you should be flexible and available.
Previous retail experience is beneficial. Excellent customer service, an enquiring mind and an outgoing personality are essential.
