Summary

Activities Co-ordinator based at Torrwood, Wells

Available Hours:

Permanent - Part Time - 15 hours per week. (2 days Monday & Tuesday 9-5) Please be aware that this role is within our dementia unit

Pension, 28 days holiday (inc. bank holidays), Life Assurance, Discount Scheme, free uniform and DBS provided

Please note we are only accepting candidates currently living within a 10-mile radius of the Care Home

We are currently recruiting for an Activities Co-ordinator to join our team and to work within the Home to provide activity opportunities for our residents.

In conjunction with the senior team, you will be responsible for planning and running a programme of activities for the residents linked to assessed social needs identified in care plans.

You will also be responsible for maintaining and promoting activities that older people enjoy and find stimulating.

Your ability to design and facilitate group activities is essential.

Torrwood is a purpose-built care home for 82 people with residential, dementia and nursing care needs. With countryside surroundings and within close proximity to the pretty cathedral city of Wells, we offer long term and respite care in safe, warm and welcoming surroundings. All our rooms have en suite wet rooms.

We understand that personal tastes and needs vary, so we encourage residents to personalise their rooms. We also have one room that can accommodate a couple, which means that a couple who share different care needs can remain together at Torrwood.
