We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to work at a fabulous Primary school in Chigwell on a temporary basis from September.

Our client school has recently appointed a new SENCO for their team and they are seeking an experienced SENCO who will be able to guide the new staff member in their duties and oversee the SENCO responsibilities.

Due to the nature of this role, candidates must be experienced and a qualified SENCO

We are looking for a SENCO who meets the following requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status and relevant SENCO qualification
- Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational trends
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to provide guidance and share knowledge to new SENCO
- Willing to commit to a minimum of two terms in the school
- Thorough understanding of the SEN Code of Practice & Primary curriculum
- Must have experience with EHCP
- Right to work in UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain)

About the role:
- Carrying out normal Primary SENCO duties alongside newly appointed SENCO
- Overseeing and offering guidance to new SENCO
- Managing EHCPS alongside new SENCO
- Assisting new SENCO in carrying out 1:1 assessments of the children
- Assisting new SENCO with administration responsibilities
- Attending SLT meetings
