Summary

We are recruiting 2 Assistant Cooks at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Contract Type: Permanent/ Part Time 3.5 hours per day, 17.5 hours a week, term time only working (38 weeks)
Location: Abercarn Primary School

Contract Type: Part Time/ Fixed term until 1st September 2024, 2.5 Hours per day, 5 Hours a week, Thursdays and Fridays Only.

Location: Ynysddu Primary school

The purpose of the role is to provide a catering service within the school stated although the successful candidate may be required to work at other locations throughout the Borough.

Also to supervise others in the workplace, working within the guidelines set out by Caerphilly Catering Services to ensure correct performance standards are achieved.

The successful candidate will have excellent staff management skills but will be supported by the supervisor/manager in charge in order to ensure a high-quality catering service that adheres to all food hygiene and health and safety regulations.

For the role, we ask that you have:

Level 2 Food Safety Safeguarding Children Manual handling Customer care
Understands the role to perform duties effectively and efficiently. Appreciates the need to support and respect equalities principles. Able to confidently answer questions on area of responsibility. Understands the impact of own work on others.
Ability to work precisely and effectively under pressure and to deadlines and have a strong sense of purpose.
