Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a IT Support Officer working at Wirral's acute hospitals, Arrowe Park Hospital and Clatterbridge Hospital.

The role is ideal for someone who has willingness to learn new skills, can work in a busy environment. The vacancy is full time 37.5 hrs per week, and the working hours will be from Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16:00. approx

This vacancy is being advertised as an apprenticeship and as such the salary for the role if reflective of this. Those who currently hold and can evidence the essential qualifications need not apply. Your application will not be shortlisted if you hold the essential qualification(s).

Although English and Maths at level 2 is not required for the role, it is a requirement to complete the apprenticeship and need to be in place by the end of the apprenticeship. If you do not hold or cannot evidence English and Maths at level 2 then support will be provided for the successful applicant(s) as part of the Trust’s apprenticeship offer.

Whilst this role is being advertised as a permanent position, there is an expectation that the successful applicant must complete all elements of the apprenticeship. Initially, the successful applicant will be placed on a fixed term apprenticeship contract for the duration of the programme. Upon completion of the apprenticeship and providing all additional milestones are met, the successful applicant will be issued a permanent contract.

To work within the Digital Healthcare Team of a large Acute Hospital split across 2 main sites, effectively supporting the hardware and software of users ensuring the functionality and accessibility of corporate services including critical NHS clinical systems essential for the delivery of patient care. Main responsibilities and duties may include the following: Receiving routine and urgent IT support calls. Assisting in maintaining an up-to-date inventory of hardware and software. Notifying, keeping up to date and ensuring timely communication with all IT Support teams and departments in times of IT System failure or upgrades.
