Summary

About The Role

Are you a creative and tenacious individual, with an interest in enforcement and housing law? If so, this exciting opportunity could be for you.

We are looking for an Enforcement Officer to join the compliance team to lead on no-access cases for safety inspection and services. You will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive front facing service and be our expert in enforcement activities in either Devon or Cornwall. You will be required to prepare, serve and present legal proceedings as and when needed.

You will work alongside colleagues to proactively provide assistance to resolve cases of non-access while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. You will be customer focused and be experienced in litigation. A CIH Level 4 qualification or an equivalent related tenancy law qualification would be desirable.

This role is being offered on a full time, permanent basis with either our Exeter or Tolvaddon as the nearest office, depending on where you are based. A hybrid working style is an option.

About The Candidate

To be considered for the role of Enforcement Officer - Compliance, you will be/have:

- Experience in social housing or legal related profession.
- Experience delivering specialist enforcement services and meeting KPI standards in a comparable organisation.
- Experience tackling no access and other breaches of contract at an operational level.
- Experience in representing and advocating in court - obtaining with and without notice and defended or undefended injunctions and possession orders directly on behalf of a comparable landlord organisation.
- Demonstrable experience of improving customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of how to enhance performance or working practices to deliver improved value for money.
- Knowledge of social housing policy, good practice.
- Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Legislation and best practice.
- Knowledge of legal casework best practice and of knowledge of quality management. Takes a flexible and adaptable approach to hours of work in order to meet customer and operational needs.
- Good level of literacy and numeracy.
- CIH / HNC in Housing or relevant equivalent expertise through experience and study.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Full valid UK driving licence.
