Summary
The Database Administrator will mainly be responsible for the following tasks-
- Managing and maintaining a database environment
- Ensuring data integrity, security, and availability
- Overseeing the maintenance and security measures of company databases
- Supporting various relational databases, such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL
- Handling common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, replication, migration, and tuning
- Ensuring that data is available, protected from loss and corruption, and easily accessible as needed
- Software installation and maintenance
- Data extraction, transformation, and loading
- Specialized data handling
- Database backup and recovery
- Security
