Summary

Job Description

You will be part of an operational Road and Lighting team responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Glasgow’s Road and Street Lighting infrastructure. You will have good communication skills, knowledge of Health and Safety, the ability to deal with the public and see tasks through to completion. A current LGV Licence, and a driver’s Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and current full category C driving licence are essential. You should be skilled and experienced in one of the following disciplines - 1. Installation of above/below ground street infrastructure; 2. Laying of bituminous materials by machine or hand; 3. Kerbing/paving/slabbing, setting out ironwork or general drainage/ground works. A HAUC or CSCS or CITB cards are all desirable. You must also be prepared to work in a physically demanding role in all weather conditions.

This post is temporary for a period up to 1 year.
