Summary

Working in a hybrid style, based at home and Wedderburn House, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

Requirements

You will have a degree in Social Work, CQSW, Dip SW, CSS (with appropriate option).

Responsibilities

You will assist in maintaining vulnerable people in the community by providing a range of care management tasks. These include the assessment of individual need, the negotiation of flexible packages of care, and the monitoring and reviewing of individual care packages.

The Individual

You will have working knowledge and experience of risk and needs assessments, experience and knowledge of Adult Support & Protection Procedures, interest in working with adults who suffer from severe and enduring mental illness and sound knowledge of community care services.

You will have good communication skills - verbal/written, the ability to assess needs of adults with mental health problems and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet challenges and deadlines.

You will have the ability to register with Scottish Social Services Council within specified timescale.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check, prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council
