Summary

About the Role:

As the Bright Minds project worker, you will be part of a dynamic and creative team of staff and volunteers. You will receive a broad range of training and mentorship opportunities to enable you to begin/grow your career in youth work and community mental health support. You will learn about the principles of peer support and be responsible for creating peer support groups and events for young people under the age of 25. The role will involve identifying young people who are interested in learning more about mental health and providing them with opportunities to grow their experience and CV in supporting others. Once established in the role, you will be designing and delivering internal training and sourcing external training to achieve this. The role is supported by our projects manager, volunteers from our roster of community supporters, and the rest of our staff team. Working closely with community partners is an essential part of the role and the position will involve local travel.
