Summary

Liberty has an exciting opportunity for a Water Hygiene Technician to join our team, based in Newcastle Upon Tyne. You will be working on a full-time permanent basis, working 40 hours per week and in return, you will receive a competitive starting salary of £24,500 per annum, to negotiable. We are looking to recruit a Water Hygiene Technician, to provide an effective high-quality service to ensure all water systems on site are fully compliant with all aspects of current health and safety and Legionella specific legislation and guidance.

Responsibilities for this Water Hygiene Technician role are:

Temperature monitoring and general HSG274 water hygiene tasks

Outlet descaling

Collection of samples from domestic water systems, and submission for laboratory analysis

TMV servicing and maintenance

Chlorination and disinfection works

Cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfection, which includes handling and dosing chemicals

Showerhead cleaning and disinfection

Cold water storage tank and calorifier inspections

Preparing and completing job sheets by hand

Ensuring there is a full working set of equipment and P.P.E prior to attending site work

Legionella monitoring

What we are looking for in our ideal Water Hygiene Technician:

C&G Certification Water qualification

Legionella monitoring experience. Demonstrated working experience of (HSG274 Part 2), Health Technical Legionella Awareness

Water monitoring and Tank Inspection

Risk Assessment Appreciation

H&S at Work Act & Regulations Appreciation

Asbestos Awareness (Desirable)

Full driving license
