Summary

Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our team based in Oswestry. This is a permanent, part time role working 30 hours per week.

We are offering an Assistant Management Accountant a competitive salary of, £31,980 to £36,183 per annum pro rata, dependant on experience.

About the Assistant Management Accountant role:

Come join a small Finance team, where the Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for supporting the general accounting, forecasting and budgeting processes of the charity. Assisting the Head of Finance in the provision of accurate, timely, and relevant insight and analysis, presented in a clear and understandable format.

The ideal candidate will be ambitious, keen to progress and develop, and able to have a positive impact straight away. This role is best suited to a candidate who is qualified by experience and looking for a new challenge or part qualified and wanting to carry on studying and developing in the role.

The following qualifications are essential for the role:


Relevant, numerate degree, AAT Level 4 or relevant experience.
Part qualification in a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or “qualified by experience” (QBE) to a comparable level.


We are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant who:


Has exceptional level of numeracy.
Has high level of IT proficiency, comfortable with digital working as a default and interested to optimise automation.
Has expertise in Microsoft Excel (including vlookups, sumifs, pivot tables).
Analytical skills and the ability to present information clearly
Good communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent time management skills and works well own initiative.
The ability to explain complexity both verbally and in written form.
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.


The essential knowledge that you will require for this role includes:


Knowledge of accounting software, ideally Sage Intaact
Principles of accounting, inc. profit & loss, balance sheets and cash flow
Understanding of budgeting, including zero based
Understanding of financial metrics and data interpretation
