Due to growth and development of the school, Ty Gwyn School are looking to appoint a number of motivated and caring teaching assistants with a passion for working with pupils with additional leaning need.
Ty Gwyn supports pupils aged 3-19 with autism and /or profound and complex needs. The school is federated with Riverbank and Woodlands High School within the Western Learning Federation. We are proud that the school has a long history of working with other schools and partners including a role as a Pioneer and Innovation school for work on the new curriculum and professional learning.

Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
This salary is subject to the Living Wage supplement which brings pay rates up to £12 per hour (scp 2 - 4). This supplement will be reviewed in January 2024 and thereafter annually in April. Cardiff Council reserves the right to make any changes to, or removal of, the Living Wage supplement.
