Are you resilient and compassionate?New Fosseway are looking to recruit a Behaviour Specialist Learning Support Assistant to work with young people with ASC and dysregulated behaviours.
We are seeking someone who is confident and experienced working with complex educational and behavioural needs. The appropriate candidate will be able to implement varied behaviour management strategies, be nurturing and empathetic when working in this setting.
Job overview
As a Behaviour Specialist LSA, you’ll provide personalised SEN provision supporting the pupil in accessing the curriculum at an appropriate level and adapting the learning to make it accessible for students with specific needs.
Job requirements
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum GCSE English and Maths at C grade or above Experience of supporting pupils with SEN and utilising strategies to manage behaviours and meet needs, including supporting speech and language Awareness of Child Safeguarding and the latest SEN policies to implement effective provision, including working with outside agencies to deliver EHCP provisions Ability to effectively communicate on the pupil’s progress, with strong written and verbal communication skills
