Summary

Job Coach (Level 3 Teaching Assistant) Hours: 8.45 am – 4.15pm Monday to Thursday 8.45am – 3.45pm FridayYou will be working 34.5 hours per week during term time, plus 3 weeks in the summer holiday.Salary: £25,805 - £27,797We are looking for an enthusiastic, resilient Job Coach based at the Voco Leicester Hotel. This is part of Project Search which is an international initiative designed to support young people with learning disabilities and autism into paid employment. 6% of adults with a learning disability in the UK are in permanent paid employment. After a Project Search supported internship, this increases to 60%. After a successful first year of the project, we are delighted to be working with the Voco Leicester Hotel and this is where the Job Coach role will be based. You will work alongside the instructor to support the interns in their lessons. You will also support the students through all aspects of their internships. Duties will include but not be limited to:
Travel training Learning specific job roles and training the internsCreating resources such as visuals to support the students in their job rolesLiaising with host departments and managers within the hotelUndertaking bespoke CPD from Project SearchEssential Criteria: Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent. Experience of supporting students with a range of SEND. Excellent understanding of Safeguarding protocol and procedures. Desirable Criteria: Experience of supporting students with travel training Some experience of working outside of the education sector. You will be working for Ellesmere College but based within the hotel. It is vital that candidates always represent Ellesmere College in a positive light.
