Summary

One to One Teaching and Learning Support AssistantHours: Term-time 25hrs/week term-time, including INSET days Core hours: 9:00am – 2pm Monday-Friday; Meetings or additional duties agreed in advance; plus occasional evenings and weekends Salary: £22,000 FTE (base rate - support staff scale 1) - £23,500 FTE (higher rate - support staff scale 2) - please note expectation that all the essential and desirable criteria be in place for the higher salary band. This is a term time only and part-time only role so the prorated salary is £12,399 pa - £13,245 including INSET days and holiday payType of Contract: This is a temporary appointment, subject to ongoing receipt of funding, and to the named child’s continuation in the school.Start Date: September 2024
Cambridge Steiner School is looking for a committed and inspiring person to join our innovative, passionate and warm-hearted team in the Lower School. We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who will be able to form a strong, trusting and positive working relationship with the child. You will have had experience working with children with trauma and attachment issues. You will have a good level of written English and Maths and support both in class and also in 1-to-1 sessions. You will be working closely with the Class Teacher and SENDCo and thus your contracted hours include daily check in at 8.00AM and weekly meeting with the SENDCo or Classteacher, to plan the 1-to-1 lessons and to keep all paperwork pertaining to the child’s learning plan up to date.About our school Cambridge Steiner School is a small non-selective, co-educational independent school and is part of the Steiner Waldorf Schools Fellowship.
