Summary

Job Overview

In the role as Fire Protection Supervisor you will lead and motivate your team to deliver all Fire Systems Planned and Reactive maintenance works and ensure the Fire Team are at a constant state of readiness to attend as first response to site incidents, working with both onsite and offsite emergency response teams.



Main Duties

The Fire Protection supervisor is responsible for ensuring the Fire Team deliver the Fire Systems PPM schedule as defined in the contract scope, overseeing and checking that all documentation is completed and recorded to the required standards. A sample of tasks include Fire Inspections, Fire Alarm Testing, Isolation & De-isolation of sprinkler systems, Sprinkler valve testing, Issuing of Hot Works permits, Inspection of all Fire doors, Fire extinguisher inspections and servicing, Emergency water supplies inspection, testing and servicing, Defibrillator inspections, Emergency refuge and Telephone checks.

Lead all site emergency's as point of contact for initial Fire Team response, escalating inline with site emergency procedures.

Lead and Delivery of site Fire Warden training including evening sessions

Work with TSOC to ensure Engineers complete their daily workload achieving the work order SLA's and managing any at risk work orders.

Review, Approve and record team, holidays and sickness is inline with Mitie procedures

Provide your team with updates on relevant information including SHE, Technical Bulletins, and Toolbox Talks.

Complete Engineer Vehicle / PPE / safety equipment & calibration checks in line with company policies.

What we are looking for

You will have knowledge and experience of leading a team delivering a Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule across a large manufacturing site, you are calm and resilient under pressure in Emergency scenarios and a motivated team player with a proactive approach when dealing with operational risks and emergency scenarios.

Min 3 year's experience in a similar role carrying out PPM's on Critical Fire Systems. (Essential)

Competent and confident using a Laptop and PDA

Experienced using Microsoft Word & Excel

Good working knowledge of H&S in the work place

Candidate must hold a full UK Driving Licence (Essential)

Trained to operate emergency vehicle under emergency conditions (Blue light Training)
