Summary

Team Leader - Complex Care
Job Ref: JH/PR/NPH
Hours: 22.5 – 35 hours per week / additional hours may be offered. Weekend working is required. Able to cover holidays and sickness
Shift patterns: 7.15am – 7.45pm or 7.15pm – 7.45am
Hourly rate of pay: £15.00 per hour.
Location: Rothwell, Northamptonshire
We are look for someone experienced to join our small team and help run a package of care for a 40 year old male with a severe learning disability and complex health needs, living in his own home in Rothwell Northamptonshire. Supporting the client to maintain their health and social needs within the home and community. Initially will be required to work day time shifts alongside HCA to get to know the client.

Key Responsibilities
• Maintaining and updating records - care plans, MAR sheets etc.
• Training carers, supervisions, updating carers information
• Organising rotas, holidays, sickness cover
• Ordering and maintain good stock levels
• Maintain good communication between the care team and parents
• Have a good clinical knowledge and competency of Tracheostomy and PEG management, Epilepsy and learning disability.
Support the client with all aspects of their care needs including:
• personal care – includes washing, dressing, showering, toileting
• medication administration
• moving and handling, positioning
• Tracheostomy and PEG management.
• Social stimulation support
• Work closely and maintain good communication between the care team to ensure the client has all their needs met.
Essential Experience
• Have a good clinical knowledge of:
• Learning disabilities
• Tracheostomy
• PEG management,
• Epilepsy
• Medication administration


Desirable Experience
• Ideally will be flexible, have good organisational skills, be an excellent communicator and happy to work alone and as part of a team.

• You must like dogs.
