Summary

Looking for a rewarding role in education? We're currently seeking a Primary Supply Teaching Assistant to join our team!

As a Primary Supply Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers in various primary school settings to provide support in the classroom. Your duties will include assisting with lesson planning, helping students with their work, and providing one-on-one support to students who need it most.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with children in a primary school setting, a passion for education and a strong desire to positively impact young learners' lives. You'll need to be patient, compassionate, and able to adapt quickly to new classroom environments.

Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:

• Help pupils access the curriculum by working with individual children, small groups or whole class.
• Manage student behaviour.
• Assess progress and provide feedback.
• Create a positive learning environment, providing support during activities.
• Help with administrative tasks.
• Follow school policies and procedures.

Requirements of a Learning Support Assistant:

• No qualifications are required, although good standards of literacy and numeracy are needed.
• Experience working or volunteering with children or young people would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to manage behaviour effectively.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Flexibility and adaptability.

Registrations required to be a Learning Support Assistant:

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you do not have one, you can apply for a new one through Educate.
• You must register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) to work in Wales.
