What we need from you as a CNC Lathe Programmer/Setter/Operator:

You must be able to programme from print drawings and set and operate a CNC lathe using FANUC controls
A full understanding of FANUC controls, canned cycles, tool and work shift setting and selecting the appropriate tools for various operations is required (A knowledge of Siemens controls would also be advantageous)
Ability to check machined parts using various measuring equipment

Qualifications:

Timed served or City and Guilds/NVQ CNC Programming/Engineering Qualification

Responsibilities and Tasks:

You will be responsible for programming/setting and operating various CNC lathes to turn parts up to 500mm in diameter
You will be creating new and editing existing CNC programs
Carry out basic machine maintenance i.e topping up fluids and coolant as required, cleaning out swarf and emptying swarf bins
Check and measure machined parts using various measuring equipment
Log materials and any non conformities for ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems

Training:

For the right candidate training on products, systems and new machines will be given as well as career progression to learning Siemens controls for Lathes and Mills

Salary/Hours: £30K– 35K per year based on a 40-hour week. Working Hours: Monday to Thursday - 7:30am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am - 2:00pm.
