Your new company
Hays Education are currently recruiting for a reliable and adaptable teacher to work at a primary school in Blackburn. The school puts nurture high on the essential qualities they look for in a teacher and will want someone who takes the time to understand the children and willing to go that extra mile. This role will be on a full-time basis starting as soon as possible through until the end of the academic year. The staffing team are extremely helpful and are happy to welcome either an experienced teacher or an ECT/NQT teacher into the role. This school has a solid leadership team that places high importance on staff wellbeing.
Your new role
In this new role you will have full teaching responsibilities including planning, delivering and marking work as well as conducting parents evening. You will be working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the KS1 team to create a productive and welcoming learning environment. You will be expected to plan lessons accordingly, mark work and support the children wherever necessary. This year 1 class has a diverse range of pupils from different backgrounds, with various levels of ability, making this an ideal class for a newly qualified teacher. You should have strong behaviour management skills however the behaviour and progression within the class is good.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status and have good knowledge of the KS1 Curriculum. You need to be a good team player, have good time management and behaviour management skills. NQTs/ECTs are welcome to apply for the role.If you are not a qualified teacher, but have recent experience working with children, we may have other roles available for you. What you'll get in return
In return, you will get paid up to £140 per day depending on your experience level and will be joining a successful team where you will be provided with ongoing training and development.
