Your new school:
A new role has arisen for a Teaching Assistant to work within a medium-sized Primary School situated within Merthyr Tydfil. The position is in a school that caters for children aged between 3 and 11 years. The school prides itself on having fantastic facilities that enhance the pupils' learning and development.
Your new role:
The role will involve general classroom assistance for groups of up to 30 pupils, with a requirement for small group learning depending on pupils' needs.
Duties relating to the role include but are not limited to:
* Providing 1:1 support within the class.
* Supporting a child with ASD.
* Working closely as part of a team.
* Creating and maintaining an interactive and engaging learning environment for the pupils.
* Supporting the Class Teacher with planned activities and sessions.
What you will need to succeed:
To be successful in this role, it is necessary that you have experience working as a Teaching Assistant.
You will be polite, dedicated and have a caring personality. Additionally, you must be reliable and able to provide a calm response to challenging behaviour whilst in the classroom. Good time management skills are also necessary for the role.
