Summary

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Senior Educational Psychologist to support our established client in the Surrey area. The service consists of a specialist Residential Special School and College for Children, Younger People and Young Adults between the ages of 5-25 who have a range of severe Learning Disabilities including Epilepsy and Autism. The service works in partnership with a leading national charity and achieved a rating of 'OUTSTANDING' upon their latest Ofsted inspection.

Job Purpose: Senior Educational Psychologist

Salary: £61,848-£67,706 per annum + £250 SCS Sign-Up Bonus

Location: Lingfield, Surrey

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30

Contract: Full-time | 37.5 Hours

The post holder will be responsible for the operational day-to-day delivery educational psychology input into the wellbeing and to engage, encourage and inspire the Younger People to be themselves.
Key Responsibilities:

  • To support the Executive Principal and the Therapies Lead in their role, contributing to decision making, service planning and strategy.
  • To undertake line management of the Psychology and Speech and Language teams including monitoring and reviewing performance.
  • To promote and facilitate collaborative working, early intervention and integrated solutions, applying psychology to enhance the learning and development of children and young adults.
  • To assess and provide psychological reports for new students.
  • To undertake therapy sessions to support the emotional and mental health of children and young adults.
  • To provide psychological advice to staff within the educational and residential services including working closely with colleagues in the Wellbeing Team.
  • To provide a high-quality psychological service to students and their families, schools and other partners.


Essential

  • Psychology Qualification - Psychology (BPS Accredited)
  • Professional Registration (HCPC)
  • Substantial experience working with Children & Younger People
  • Previous experience in Educational Psychology
