The Northern Care Alliance NHS Trust wishes to increase the Interpreters in the team to cover the mentioned languages to provide a more comprehensive interpreting service to its hospitals in Oldham, Rochdale, Bury & Salford.

Interpreter - 12 months fixed term contract - Band 3

We are looking to recruit 2.5 wte interpreters who speak the following languages:

1 x Urdu/punjabi;

1 x Bengali;

17.5hrs x Hungarian/Czec/Slovac

You will join a team of 15 permanent interpreters based at Royal Oldham Hospital but will be required to work across the NCA which covers Oldham, Rochdale, Salford & Bury and Communities.

You will be qualified in at least Community Interpreting level 3 or above and have experience of working as an Interpreter.

Also you must already have permission to work in the UK as this post will not cover any sponsorship requirement.

The Post holders will be responsible for providing a confidential, clear, accurate and effective interpreting service to health professionals and patients in both the hospital and community settings.

Possession of an interpreting qualification is essential and experience of interpretation preferably in a hospital setting.

The Post Holders will provide not only face to face interpretations but also telephone and video interpretations so knowledge of IT systems is also essential e.g. MS Teams & Accurx flemming.
