Summary
We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Maintenance Person for the day-to-day maintenance of our small, homely residential care home run by the Daughters of Charity of St Vincent de Paul.
The right candidate will carry out maintenance and repair work including carpentry, glazing, plumbing, decorating and basic electrical work, as well as ensuring that exterior areas are tidy. There will also be the requirement to liaise with and arrange contractors, and be available for building emergencies.
We are looking for someone with relevant experience of maintaining public premises, with good knowledge of health & safety regulations and legal requirements. We are looking for someone who is willing to commit to a wide range of tasks, is detail oriented and who can work independently and in accordance with the needs of the Registered Care Manager. Good communication and interpersonal skills with a caring and positive attitude are required.
30 hours per week (Tuesdays to Fridays)
