Summary
The Oakleaf Group are looking to recruit a keen and enthusiastic Gardener to come and work within our horticulture and grounds team.
We are looking for a reliable, diligent and enthusiastic gardener to join our team at Oakleaf Care. The role focuses on maintaining the grounds on our main rehabilitation site in the picturesque village location of Hartwell just outside Northampton. In addition there will be the added responsibility of maintaining the grounds on our long stay unit in the village of Duston. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out practical gardening tasks including weeding, hoeing, edging, mowing, planting and pruning. The successful candidate will need to be physically fit and able to carry out practical, physical work. Our gardeners work outside in (almost!) all weathers. Sensitivity to the work on the rehabilitation units and the presence of the residents is essential.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills, be creative and have a genuine passion for working outside and a good understanding of gardening. The successful candidate must have a driving licence and ability to drive to the rehabilitation sites based in Hartwell and Duston.
