Summary

Job Purpose: To be responsible for co-ordinating the provision of service within allocated resources, providing a quality service demonstrating high professional standards. for all clients in your area. To be responsible for the management of all human resource issues relating to the staff employed in your area. To be responsible for identifying the training and development needs of all staff employed in your area of responsibility To exercise accountability for provision of the service as set out by Driving Mobility Principle Job Responsibilities: To provide assessment to the client group referred to the service in line with standards set by driving Mobility To have responsibility for the organisation and co-ordination of DANW ensuring efficient and safe management. To respond to enquiries from relatives and carers and other organisations i.e. PALS, deal with concerns and actively problem solve to improve the client experience To act as lead in investigating complaints and formulation of responses. To communicate with stakeholders provision of the service and to support the Clinical Manager in reporting as required To communicate with clients, relatives/carers, explaining assessment outcomes, frequently breaking bad news To communicate sensitive and often complex information to referring agents. To communicate with staff of all levels to motivate and advise on achieving high standards of client care To maintain effective links with other mobility cents, Driving Mobility and other stakeholders To effectively deal with clients/ carers who are upset or aggressive and may challenge assessment outcomes. To communicate with people whose first language may not be English and to refer to interpreter service as per assessment of needs. To develop effective communication with clients who are confused or have a dementia diagnosis. To give presentations to groups of staff and service users for training and information needs Responsible for the quality of written information within the assessment report Representing the DANW at appropriate forums, cascading information both up and down the organisation
