Summary

Motorcycle Technician required in Fareham, Hampshire

- Tuesday to Saturday 08:00 – 17:30 ONLY - (17:00 finish on a Saturday).

Our client, a well-known Multi-Site Motorcycle Dealer Group are seeking a Motorcycle Technician for their fantastic service department based in Fareham.

Our client has been operating nearly 10 years within the local market, with strong support from a great manufacturer and part of larger automotive dealer group, this role offers excellent job security for any Motorcycle Mechanic.

If you have experience working with the Motorcycle business and have a solid technical understanding of Motorcycles within a minimum of 2 years’ experience.

If you know your Harley-Davison from your Honda’s, your KTMs from your Kawasaki’s and your Rickmans from your Royal Enfields, then this role is for you!

Duties of a Motorcycle Technician with our Client:

- To carry out servicing and repairs on motorcycles in a safe and economical manner.
- Utilize your skills and knowledge to test and diagnose faults with a “Right first time” approach.
- Ensure safety inspection of each and every Motorcycle for safety and performance of all components.
- To Test Motorcycles and diagnose faults.
- Carry out Motorcycle Health Checks in line with Franchised Standards.
- Carry out servicing on Motorcycles in a safe and economical manner.
- Achieve Manufacturers’ fixed rate service and repair times.
- Build and maintain customer rapport to achieve ultimate satisfaction.
- Repair all Motorcycles correctly first time and to the highest possible standards to ensure 100% safety and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that write ups on job cards and inspection sheets are fully detailed and comply with manufacturer’s warranty standards.
- Ensure that all additional work found is written clearly on the health check or job card and verbally reported to the Aftersales Team as soon as possible to ensure maximum time to sell work to customer.
- Ensure that all additional work found is genuinely required, anything not required at the time of service should be noted as advisory only.
- Cover any appropriate aspect of other team member’s roles in their absence.
- Carry out any other duties within the scope of the post.

- Qualified and/or experienced Motorcycle Technician, with technical experience of modern motorcycles.
- Ideally Qualified to Level 3 Standard or extensive time served as a Motorcycle Technician.
- Represent the franchise in a professional, enthusiastic and knowledgeable manner with a positive “can do” attitude.
- Interact and work as one team with all departments; assisting and providing support at every opportunity as required in delivering all-round excellence.
- Recognise that the customer is number one priority and excellent customer service is required at all times with professionalism and enthusiasm.

- Demonstrate an understanding of the Manufacturer philosophy at all times.
