Summary


The post holder will oversee the delivery of the Child and Adolescent ST training Programmes in NHSE North West. It will cover both the East (formerly North West) and West (formerly Mersey) part of the Scheme.

The post holder will support the Head of School in the Strategic Development of the North West School of Psychiatry and contribute to supporting the School Operational Programme.

The post holder will be a member of the School Board and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Specialty Training committee.

Work in collaboration with Head of School of Psychiatry to develop and implement a Medical Workforce Strategy which supports the recruitment and retention of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Trainees and to promote Health and well-being

To provide expert advice on Specialty specific matters to the Scheme.

To ensure that the training programmes remains appropriate to deliver the RCPsych Child and Adolescent specialty curriculum

To support the Head of School to ensure appropriate systems for Assessment, Rotational Management, Trainee Supervision & Support and other functions within the School.

To Chair assessment ARCP panels for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and to attend feedback ARCP panels as required
