Summary


Your new school I am currently recruiting for a cover supervisor at a school in Cardiff. Due to an increase in demand from schools in Cardiff, a number of opportunities have arisen. These Cover Supervisor opportunities are on a long-term or daily supply cover basis.
Your new role You will have the opportunity to work in a role that is flexible around your needs. Working for Hays Education will enable you to work on a full time or part time basis to suit your commitments. Working as a cover supervisor can be very demanding but equally rewarding. The cover supervisor's main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set by an absent teacher. Your role and responsibilities as a cover supervisor will also include:

  • Effectively communication the work set by the absent teacher to students
  • Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking set work
  • Responding to any questions from pupils
  • Dealing with any immediate problems or emergencies which may arise


What you'll need to succeed To be considered for the role of Hays Education Cover Supervisor it is essential you have:

  • Experience of working with children in group sizes of 10+ in which we can reference.
  • The ability to manage groups of children and cope with challenging behaviour
  • The ability to build good relationships
