We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic applicants for the role of Events Officer. This position is based in the Finance & Operations team at the Sheffield University Management School. Working with and supervising the Events & Operations Support Officer, the postholder will play a key role in planning and project managing the delivery of all SUMS events from concept, helping to define aims and objectives & preparation through to post event evaluations and feedback.

Activities you will support include:
● Organising conferences, seminars & workshops stimulating and disseminating the School’s research activity via our research centres and groups.
● Staff away days & induction/training events
● Learning and teaching events including supporting student wellbeing
● Student field trips to local and national sites

You will be required to maintain and build a network of contacts with external suppliers and venues to enhance the level of customer service and quality to University staff, students and external stakeholders. The role will require some off campus working and occasionally working outside core hours to support events as required
