Summary

About the role:

MHC are looking to appoint an Activities Lead who will implement the delivery and planning of a comprehensive and quality activity programme aimed at maximising independence and maintaining optimum levels of everyday skills. This role will involve supporting residents to participate in creative arts & crafts both on site and in the community.

Previous experience/qualifications in Arts & Crafts or Creative Arts are essential. Previous experience of supporting individuals with Learning Disability, Autism and Mental Health Conditions is desired but not essential.

As an Activities Lead you will:

  • Encourage residents to participate in activities of their choice to enhance their quality of life.
  • Provide a flexible program of residential and/or community based therapeutic interventions.
  • Monitor resident attendance and progress, taking into account environment and adjust approaches accordingly.
  • Consult regularly with managers within the organisation to identify effective ways of supporting resident development.

The post is employed within Highfield Park and there is a requirement to work flexibly to meet service demands which will cover a 7 day per week, morning, afternoon and evening timetable of activities.
