Summary

We are looking for a reliable, methodical individual with excellent communication skills to train with the production team as a Process Operative. Experience of working in food production would be ideal, and candidates who are proactive with the ability to work accurately and with precision in a fast-paced environment will be considered

Process Operative Training

Our Process Operative role encompasses a full training scheme and is ideal for those wishing to build a career in the dairy industry, with a clear career path and the support to achieve at all levels

Beginning your journey as a trainee on the external tanker bay you will be responsible for the safe, hygienic intake of raw milk product. This initial period encompasses 4-6 months of practical, hands-on training in the role as well as working towards a Level 2 Food Safety & HACCP qualification. Our dedicated Learning & Development coordinator and our experienced team will support you with your academic and practical skills every step of the way. On successful completion of this training you will move up to a full Process Operative role

Process Operative Development

For those who wish to continue their development, and after demonstrating excellent levels of competence within the Operative role, you will have the chance to become a Process Technician
Stepping up to the trainee technician role, you will enter a further 6-8 month period of practical training on the internal tanks. A crucial process in our production, you will work alongside an experienced technician to learn the art of pasteurisation. Coupled with studying for your Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP, this will further your skill level leading to the position of Production Technician

Key Duties

At all levels of your development, quality and food safety will be at the core. Key duties will include:


Overseeing the safe intake, control and processing of product throughout the plant; while maintaining and monitoring excellent levels of health, safety and hygiene to deliver a quality product *
Preparing and operating machinery including processing and CIP equipment in accordance with company procedures and food safety legislation; while ensuring clear communication at all levels
Liaising with other departments to overcome any issues that may arise, ensuring an efficient work-flow



* Due to food hygiene regulations only one solid wedding band is permitted. No earrings, studs, bracelets, necklaces, makeup, strong smelling deodorants or perfumes are permitted in the factory areas
