Summary

Teesside University is looking to appoint a Research Fellow to support the delivery of the Research England Development (RED) Fund project, 'Growing Teesside’s Hydrogen Economy and Catalysing a Just Transition to Net Zero'. The project will be delivered in partnership with Durham University.

This is a significant, high-profile project, and the Research Fellow will play a crucial role by:

-Working with partners to develop a portfolio of collaborative innovation projects. These will support businesses to develop and deploy novel hydrogen technologies, or engage key public audiences (local schools, residents, policymakers) in the project

-Undertaking advanced research to deliver these projects, working as required with senior academic, industry and community leads

-Reporting progress through the overall project's governance structures

-Working with the project manager to ensure the timely delivery of these projects within budget

-Delivering high quality research outputs targeted to a range of audiences

The postholder will work within a cohort, and with the wider project team, to maximise the outcomes of the RED funding and Teesside and Durham Universities' investment in the project, and will be supported to engage in a programme of personal and career development activities.

As well as completing the online application form, please can you upload a separate document of your four highly cited papers as well as a three page research proposal of one or two of the research areas outlined in the person and job spec.

The research proposal should include a brief literature review of the selected area, methodology and expected outcomes.
