Summary

As the Digital Inclusion Outreach Worker, you will form part of the Age UK Cymru Gwent Digital Champion Programme Project, identifying older people who would benefit from support to get online and use technology. You will play an active role in promoting digital inclusion services in the local community and directly support older people with their digital skills development, in person and remotely.

As the Outreach Worker you will be responsible for leading outreach visits in the community to raise awareness about the benefits of getting online and promote referrals to the service. You will also support participation of clients who are unwilling or unable to attend volunteer-led sessions, for example because of more complex needs, through the delivery of remote and/or face-to-face 1:1 sessions.

You will ensure that all administrative tasks commensurate with the Digital Inclusion Service are completed promptly each week. You will be the first point of contact for the service, starting the client’s journey into digital independence.

You will manage your work time and workload effectively, have a passion for supporting older people and be flexible in order to meet service needs. The ability to drive and have access to of your own vehicle for work purposes is essential to your role. You will also undergo an enhanced DBS check.
