Summary

JOB TITLE: Senior Tenancy Support & Resettlement Officer

An exciting and rewarding opportunity has become available to support the Councils Rough Sleeping Prevention Service to reduce rough sleeping within Boston Borough Council.



You would be an integral part of the service providing advice and support to the Tenancy Support & Resettlement Officers within the team. To enable them to provide the appropriate support for people across the borough who are sleeping rough, at risk of sleeping rough plus those who have been recently rehoused from the street to avoid repeat homelessness.



Typical Duties

Respond in a timely manner to contact those referred as being homeless and sleeping rough.
A flexible approach to working unsociable hours to meet the demands of the role will be required.
Build and maintain relations with agencies, services, volunteer, and faith groups.
Take on a case load of the more complex clients; arrange and chair Multiple Disciplinary Meetings as and when required.
Maintain a database of every person referred into the service and update with relevant information to enable the Team Leader to filter and extract data required for monthly, quarterly and annual data requests.
Advise the Tenancy Support & Resettlement Officers to enable them to provide appropriate support to each of the clients.
To be confident in decision making to support the Team Leader in the day to day running of the service.
Ensure Support Plans and Risk Assessments are up to date, and accurate.
Meet the Team Leader monthly to discuss the budget spend.


We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping vulnerable people through the provision of housing related support. Previous experience of providing housing related support or similar is desirable.



An understanding of the reasons why people end up sleeping rough as well as measures to help resolve such issues would be advantageous.



To travel and cover Boston Borough area is essential, also be able to cover if required the south of Lincolnshire working within the Alliance and within the ‘One Team’ ethos.



This is a full time post and will be based at Boston Borough Council Offices, the Council has introduced agile working meaning the officer will also be able to work from other locations. However, this would be on a very rare occurrence due to the team being front facing and meeting clients daily.
