Summary
Early Explorers Nursery in West Durrington are looking for an Early Years Apprentice to join their wonderful team. Located within the lovely Northbrook Barn Community Centre, this established preschool looks after children aged 2-5 years of age for 38 weeks of the year. Our experienced team are looking to recruit someone to join them in caring for and educating our children for 5 days a week starting as soon as possible. The working hours will be Mon – Fri 8.45 – 3.15.
The role will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and relevant references.
The setting believes that each child should reach their full potential and follows a very much child led approach alongside highly trained staff and a beautiful and exciting environment. Regular opportunities to visit local landmarks and nature sessions are all part of the curriculum and staff take the opportunity to enhance children's understanding and knowledge through highly innovative experiences within the wider world.
Our children benefit from a wonderful outdoor space with a focus on play and learning to help each child thrive.
The successful candidate will be working with children aged 2 to 4 years old in a highly inclusive, caring and stimulating environment.
Duties will include -
Supporting children's development through play and learning
Caring for children
Assisting in the daily running of the setting
Maintaining the environment
Helping to keep children safe and adhering to our solid safeguarding measures
The successful candidate will be highly motivated, have great communication skills and demonstrate a good willingness to learn and be part of a team. We will support and mentor the candidate in either a level 2 or 3 qualification and help them to gain essential skills and behaviours to enable them to become an outstanding professional.

Salary: £6.40 per hour
Expected hours: 32.5 per week
