Summary
About the role:
To manage the recruitment of foster carers and adopters and to promote the Fostering and Adoption Services through the development and implementation of a recruitment strategy. To promote strategies to assist in the improved retention of foster carers and adopters.

What you will do:
- To work closely with the Corporate Communications Team to ensure the organisation of recruitment activities, events and campaigns to promote the Fostering and Adoption Services and encourage the recruitment and retention of carers, including ensuring a regular social media presence.
- Provide an immediate response to all initial enquiries from the public and ensure the monitoring and review of statutory checks on all approved carers to meet legal requirements and ensure National Standards are met.
- Preparation of applicants for pre-approval training so that potential carers can be assessed for approval as foster carers or adopters.
- Develop and ensure production and distribution of recruitment and promotional materials, including the placement of adverts to attract enquiries from prospective carers.
- To contribute to the reduction of the number of out-of-county placements, and increase the percentage of children placed closer to home with locally recruited foster carers.
