Summary
Title: General Yard Operative / Van Driver The Best Connection are currently recruiting for yard operatives/drivers in the Hillingdon area.
You would be working on an alternating rota.
One week you would be working Monday-Friday, the following week Tuesday-Saturday.
The shift times are:
8am-8pm
Pay is £12.50p/h
You will be primarily working as part of a busy operation helping to clear the yard and dispose of any waste you may come across. This may include: Collecting and disposing of waste such as woodchippings etc. Burning waste in the incinerator when required. There will be an element of manual lifting involved so you would need to be comfortable with heavy lifting.
You would also need to drive the van for around 1hr a day to collect waste from various points and bring it back to the site to be disposed of- Due to the nature of the waste you will be transporting, you will be provided with an ADR certification that you can keep.
Due to the fact you will be driving, you will need a valid drivers License and some past driving experience.
What we are looking for: Someone who is happy with heavy lifting Physically fit as you will be working on your feet all day Happy to work alone or as part of a team Good understanding of the English language would be a bonus Someone with a Valid UK Drivers License Although this is not primarily a driving role, you will need some previous professional driving experience.
