More detail about the role: The post-holder is responsible for providing joint leadership & clinical expertise to the Wheelchair and Specialist Seating service based at Exeter Mobility Centre (EMC), covering patients with acute and long-term condition, adults and paediatrics within the Centre and at other locations as necessary e.g. satellite clinics, schools, secure units etc across Devon and Torbay. They will work collaboratively with the rehabilitation engineers. The post-holder will assess and treat patients with complex postural conditions to provide an appropriate means of mobility and use clinical reasoning to formulate individualised plans. They will triage referrals and ensure caseloads are managed within the contractual timeframes and within budget. Service criteria and the formulary of equipment must be adhered to. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08.30 - 16.30 (09.00 - 17.00 would be considered). Saturday working approximately 1 in 6. Interview Date: Thursday 23rd May 2024.
