Summary

Due to business expansion within our Aggregate and Asphalt division FM Conway is currently seeking a Transport Supervisor - Nights to join our busy, fast paced and dynamic Transport team. You will be responsible for the operations and management of night drivers and our HGV fleet. This is a permanent, full-time position working nights, 17:00-03:00, based from our Erith depot.

The duties of the Transport Supervisor – Nights role will include:

-Managing Drivers and aiming for full utilisation of our fleet across our fleet capacity

-Answering and supporting Drivers on any queries, annual leave requests, absences, and performance reviews

-Liaising with workshop and planners regarding vehicle availability

-Holding investigations following accidents or incidents, with the ability to chair disciplinary hearings if needed

-Gaining a full understanding of site requirements and restrictions

-Having a full understanding of new and current transport systems and transport regulations

-Assisting in KPI reporting on vehicle and driver earnings and maintaining records of asphalt fleet utilisation

-Assisting in the management of the Professional Drivers Recognition Scheme

What skills and experience do you need?

We are looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor - Nights who has proven experienced in managing and leading a busy and large-scale transport fleet. You will have a strong understanding of EU driver and tachograph regulations and knowledge of UK driving legislation and traffic laws. It is important you have experience in managing a team and have the ability to handle ever-changing priorities in pressured situations.
