Summary

Brand new school opening in September 2024. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a part-time role in a friendly school, as part of a great team. You will work closely with the Estates Manager and the Caretakers at our other local schools.Working pattern (split shift):Monday to Friday, 7-10am and 4-6pm, all year round (25 hours per week). Some flexibility in working hours is available and there are overtime opportunities.Your duties will include:- unlocking, locking up and keyholder duties- stock ordering, stock control and unpacking deliveries- handyperson duties, e.g. fitting shelves, replacing door handles, etc.- health and safety checks, e.g. fire alarm testing- keeping outdoor areas tidy and safe, e.g. gritting in icy weather, clearing surface drains, sweeping leaves, etc.- setting up school events, e.g. putting out chairs and tables- daily management of the hydro pool (full training provided)- a range of general caretaking dutiesThe successful candidate will have:- experience of working in an environment which requires a basic knowledge of health and safety procedures- basic DIY skills- basic knowledge of entering data into a computer/phone (if you can send emails and shop online, you can do this job and we will provide full training)- willingness to undertake trainingBenefits of working with us:- Generous pension scheme- Working as part of a great team- Free employee assistance programme- Excellent training, development and career opportunitiesAbout our schoolTwo Bridges Academy will be a new provision for pupils with severe learning disabilities (SLD) or profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), some who may also have ASD.
