Summary
SEN Teaching Assistant Required
Grove Park Primary School is a creative hub of excellence where a strong unique child centred curriculum encourages all children to achieve to their full potential. A great team spirit permeates this outstanding school. We are looking for strong and enthusiastic people to join our team and support some of our SEN pupils across Key Stage 2.
There is flexibility within the role depending on the successful applicant. There is the possibility for morning support or full-time support across five days of the week.
Options could include:
• A full-time role, supporting pupils 1:1 throughout the day from 9:00am to 3:15pm – Five days a week
• A part time role, supporting pupils between 9:00am and 12:30pm – Five mornings a week
The role will be term time plus inset days and will be paid on Scale 5. For the full-time role that is approx. £20,000 per annum.
This is a one year/fixed-term contract attached to named children, to 31st August 2025, however it is likely the post will continue whilst the child/ren attends the school.
The role will involve working with children with speech, language and communication needs and autism to provide 1:1 support in the classroom to enable the children to fully access the teaching and learning taking place. This may include pre-teaching topic vocabulary and concepts, revisiting learning, adapting activities, attending Speech and Language therapy sessions and Occupational Therapy sessions with pupils, led by trained therapists.
