Key Responsibilities:
As a science teacher, you'll play a vital role in shaping young minds. Here's what you'll be doing:
Planning and Teaching:

  • Design engaging lesson plans aligned with national and school guidelines.
  • Foster a love for science by creating interactive and thought-provoking learning experiences.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Classroom Management:

  • Set clear expectations for behaviour, safety, and academic performance.
  • Maintain discipline while encouraging a positive learning environment.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse student needs.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum.
  • Participate in department meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Support extracurricular science activities and events.

Student Support:

  • Understanding individual student needs, including those with special requirements.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement.
  • Inspire a lifelong curiosity about science.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Passion for science and a commitment to student success.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
